GREAT REPAIR AND RECONSTRUCTION in RECORD DELIVERY TIME!
“RECORD return time and PERFECT reconstruction in every way. I had a major problem, my amazing piece of ventriloquism art, my "Norbert" figure by Chuck Jackson -- a variation on Mortimer Snerd but without the buck teeth and more expressive -- got a broken nose. I sent this to another figure repair person some years ago and he sanded it down so by default Norbert got a nose job. This time in the middle of a special national school tour i discovered his nose somehow broke almost TOTALLY off. I put an item on my Facebook page, and Lisa offered to fix it and I sent it right out but told them (pleaded actually) that I needed him aback asap since there was no back up. This character was fixed in RECORD time, give my past experience getting figures fixed. First, Scott actually put rod in to the nose area, and then COMPLETELY reconstructed the nose to its ORIGINAL length based on photos I had sent him. Then Lisa MATCHED the original paint Chuck Jackson style paint job. Scott also fine tuned some of the strings so even though Norbert was as smooth as silk in his movements, he's now SMOOTHER than silk. I think there are two issues in getting a figure fixed. 1)Can you get it back so it doesn't look different from the original character? 2)Can you get it fixed IN TIME. I now try to get a verbal promise before I send a figure out to be fixed. Scott and Lisa honored it. As soon as I do a few little things I want to do on Norbert's appearance I'll do a new photo of him -- and send it out to Chuck Jackson who, though retired, considered Norbert one of the best figures he ever bult. Scott and Lisa will make Chuck smile -- just as I can see Norbert smiling. Norbert hasn't looked this good in about 10 years. (P.S. Let's forget puppetry and vent, I met Scott and Lisa a few years ago and liked them for THEM immediately. They could have been Harry and Hilda Schmeggastein who ran a corn dog stand in downtown Orisky Falls for all I cared...and care)”
